The 2015 BMW X6 comes with a slightly new design compared to its previous model. However, to me, it doesn’t look that much different when I look at the previous version model. It just looks almost the same, but the older version looks slightly better in my opinion.
The new model is not just slightly different by looks, but it also is quicker and more powerful than ever. Under the hood you can find a 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine (in the most powerful xDrive50i model) which produces up to 445 hp (327 kW) and torque of 480 lbs-ft (650.8 Nm). And with all this power, the new model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 4.8 seconds.
The 2015 BMW X6 also will be available with the 3.0-liter six-cylinder petrol engines (xDrive35i & sDrive35i models) and 3.0-liter diesel engines (xDrive30d & xDrive40d). Models with these weaker engines won’t be that quick and powerful compared to the xDrive50i models, but the weaker engines will be more economical and in my opinion, more popular as well.
Everyone knows (who’ve driven this car) that the BMW X6 with the weakest engine is still fast. You really don’t need to get the most powerful model to enjoy this car, because even the weakest model is fast and fun to drive.
The new BMW X6 model adds another new feature – it’s the rear-wheel-drive system. The 2015 BMW X6 sDrive35i comes with a rear-wheel-drive system. For the first time we’re going to have the RWD BMW X6 and that should be interesting.
