Vehicle Detail

2nd gen Deep Blue 1979 Chevrolet Camaro 350 auto For Sale.

1979 Camaro, Deep Blue. Great daily/project. $8K OBO. Negotiable. Central TX car.

Motor:

350ci, Edelbrock 650 Thunder series carb. Iron block and heads. Serpentine system from 1992 Silverado with R134 A/C system (functional). Long tube headers. Performance metal header gaskets. New plugs and wires. Street fire distributor with custom spring set for max power band performance. Lokar “Hi-Tech” series flexible oil dipstick, trans stick, and kick down (TV) cable. Lokar throttle and dual spring assembly. Super responsive. Specter air filter with round and top filter for max air flow.

Trans:

700R4 OD tranny built by a speed shop in Arizona, less than 1K miles. Full OD lock-up via a TCI vacuum assisted electronic tranny kit. Custom G-Force tranny cross member. Shortened driveshaft. B&N “Quicksilver” ratchet shifter, with gate and cover. 1:1 fit for a stock 1979 Camaro. Posi-trac 10-bolt rear with 373 Richmond gears with fresh Diff oil and Pumpkin gasket out back. ½” rear sway bar with red performance bushings newly installed.

Tires:

P235/60R15 BFG Radial T/A’s on all 4 corners. “American Racing” solid billet aluminum wheels. Brakes and booster work rather well, no issues.

Interior:

U54 dash cluster upgrade with refinished gauges, all original. Original dash and cluster carrier. Everything works to include seat belt light. Cigarette lighter works, but is not installed (but available). Seats, carpet, back seat, center console are flawless. Door covers are good, minus holes cut for factory speakers (not included, but are pre-wired and work, tested). Old school “Alpine” CD player deck, confirmed functional. Grant GT 12” steering wheel. Center cap is wired with working horn.

Exterior:

All exterior components work. New H/O “Sylvania” headlights with chrome bezels. Clear coat is shot due to Texas sun. Hood and doors have rust damage. Body has minimal rust spots and could easily be repaired, no “cancer” rust at all. The body is still very solid. Sub-frame supports and undercarriage are super solid! Floor pans are solid as well. Trunk and trunk pan are solid, no issues. Weather-stripping needs a little work. Windows are functional, although, manual.

Asking:

$8,000 OBO. This is negotiable of course. This would be a great first build for a young person, or a good Father-and-Son build. It’s set up right now to be a daily driver, with a little “fun factor” built in. It was my “daily” for a bit. She’s “bitchin” and I don’t want to let her go. Life says otherwise.

P.S: I have a folder full of documentation to confirm all of this. It comes with the car, or on request, of course. Questions are encouraged. I’ll answer them all. Thanks.
