Car of the day – Tuned BMW 750iL E38 Luxury Car on BBS Wheels 1920×1080 HD

BMW has achieved the ultimate, they have improved on what’s become known as the Ultimate Driving Machine, the BMW 750iL E38.

It’s an Automotive fact that BMW pioneered the concept of the sports sedan. Beginning in 1966 the 1600, which evolved into the legendary 2002, delighted driving enthusiasts around the world with its unique combination of performance and practicality. Perhaps not so widely know is that BMW pioneered yet another automotive concept some 10 years later. In 1977 the 7 Series introduced to the world the “luxury-performance” category.

The 7-series was introduced, with a 2.8 litre or 3.2 litre engine. Later a turbocharged 4.5 litre engine, became an available option for the 745i. In 1986 BMW introduced the new 730i, 735i, 735iL, 750i and 750iL. The L(long)-series became the exclusive series of limousine cars with 11.4cm longer wheelbase, dedicated solely to the backseat passengers.

The 7 Series has a great model line-up, starting with the 750iL, the only V-12 in its class (besides the 760iL in newer models). The flagship of the 7 Series, the 750iL is the epitome of luxury/performance. Its prestigious 5.4-liter, 326-horsepower (240 kW), self-tuning V-12 engine, also used in the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph, can speed the BMW 750iL E38 from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 6.6 seconds.
