Car of the day – Chevrolet Camaro SSX Track car concept model 1920×1080 HD
This is a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SSX. It is a modified Camaro that has been built for the racing circuit in mind. Some of the parts in this car have been replaced with carbon fiber, such as lightweight carbon fiber body panels. The suspension has been modified as well in this car. The car also has unique brake cooling ducts, a revised lower grille and an adjustable rear wing. All these modifications has slightly reduced the weight of the car.
The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SSX has a 6.2-liter V8 engine under its hood. The engine is enhanced with Chevrolet Performance Parts.
The interior got some modifications as well. Rear seats, the carpeting and sound deadener have been removed. Chevrolet added a racing steering wheel, a roll cage, shifter and racing seats with five-point harness.
The whole idea of this concept model was a showcase for new performance parts and for transforming a street Camaro SS into a closed-course track car.
The car features: a 6-speed manual transmission and Corvette ZR1 twin-disc clutch; 20 inches racing wheels and tires; Low-restriction air induction and exhaust systems; Modified production suspension with Pfadt licensed components; Four-wheel disc racing brake system with six-piston front/four-piston rear calipers and drilled and slotted rotors; Video camera system mounted on the roll cage; Exposed carbon fiber front splitter, rockers and adjustable rear wing; SCCA-approved roll cage and window net; Icy White Metallic color with red accents and door graphics and more…
