The 2012 Volkswagen Cross Coupe Concept has a hybrid powertrain that links a TSI direct injection turbo petrol engine to two electric motors. One electric motor can be found at the front and the other at the rear. The electric motor at the front can produce up to 54 hp (40 kW) and up to 133 lbs-ft (180 Nm) of torque. The electric motor at the rear can produce up to 114 hp (85 kW) and up to 199 lbs-ft (270 Nm) of torque. The whole hybrid system can produce up to 265 hp (195 kW).
This four door coupe is very good when it comes to acceleration. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 7 seconds. Top speed is 201 km/h (125 mph).
As you can see from the stats above, this car is pretty good. Also as you can see from the pic above, this car looks quite nice too. The whole design of the car looks very nice. The car in the pic above maybe looks so good, because it has that nice silver color on it. Also those wheels looks very nice on that model. Both things adds some extra good looks for the car, but the car looks very good in all kind of different colors too.
The 2012 Volkswagen Cross Coupe Concept features an all-wheel drive system. Also, Volkswagen says that the cross coupe concept can travel up to 40 km (25 miles) on purely electric power, which is great.
The car originally made its debut at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, back in 2011.
