Developed for the North American market and unique to its class, the BMW 740i Sport Package comes with high-performance tires on 18-inch M Parallel Spoke alloy wheels, a special M-tuned suspension, an automatic/clutchless manual STEPTRONIC transmission with calibrated torque converter, a higher rear axle ratio (0-62 mph or 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds), front contour sport seats, shadowline exterior trim and Vavona redwood interior trim.
With its elegant luxury, advanced protection systems, excellent handling, and sports car performance, it was simple to chose the BMW 7 Series as the AutoMuseum 1999 Luxury Car of the Year.
