This 2013 Toyota GT-86 is powered by a 2.0-liter flat-four engine which produces 197 hp (145 kW) at 7000 rpm and torque of 150 lbs-ft (203 Nm) at 6600 rpm. It is also quite light, it weighs only 2667 lbs which is around 1210 kg. GT-86 wheelbase is 2570 mm (101.2 inches) long. Car’s length is 4240 mm (166.9 inches). Height is 1285 mm (50.6 inches). Weight distribution is 53% at the front and 47% at the rear.
Originally, this Toyota model made its debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show as Toyota FT-86 Coupe concept. Later, the FT-86 was renamed to GT-86. At first also rumors reported that this car’s engine going to be powered by a 2.5-liter boxer-four with 305 hp, but it was false rumors.
The new 2013 Toyota GT-86 is available either with a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission. The base model’s price is set at around 25,000 USD ($) – 30,000 USD ($). The car comes with a rear-wheel drive system. Fuel economy is 24 mpg in city and 30 mpg in highway.
Maybe its engine doesn’t look that impressive from the numbers, but it’s definitely a pretty fast car. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h or ~0-60 mph in about 6.2 seconds. Top speed is 220 km/h (137 mph).
The interior features aluminum pedals, digital readouts, a navigation system, aviation-style rocker switchgear, etc. Overall the interior of this car looks the same sporty as the exterior. When you sit in this car, you definitely can feel the sporty look of this car.
The model, in that picture above, is tuned by Forgestar with their Rocket Bunny Scion FR-S body kit. This car was one of the most hyped cars in 2012. The new kit makes this car look way more aggressive, and it adds extra good looks.
